Krishnan Vasant is an Indian cinematographer, whose dynamic career spans feature films, television commercials, and short films. With over 10 years of experience, he has established himself as a versatile talent in the Indian film industry.

Drawing inspiration from acclaimed cinematographers Emmanuel Lubezki, Santosh Sivan, Anil Mehta, and Rajeev Ravi, whose work has shaped his unique visual perspective, Krishnan Vasant's imagery is characterised by a focus on staying true to the script, adopting an unobtrusive and invisible style that creates an immersive cinematic experience. He is passionate about capturing the essence of human emotions in its raw and natural state, evoking in the viewer a sense of beauty.

Krishnan studied for an undergraduate degree in Visual Communications from Loyola College, Chennai, where he fostered his interest in visual storytelling. He then pursued a specialisation in cinematography from LV Prasad Film and TV Academy, Chennai.

Some of his notable works as Director of Photography include Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013), 100 (2018), Oh Manapenne (2021), Sweet Kaaram Coffee (2023), and The Girlfriend (2025).
